Castlefield Update - Blue Kitchen Club Theft Investigation

Over recent weeks there have been a number of reports from members of the public about theft offences occurring in and around The Blues Kitchen in the City Centre, with items such as mobile phones and bank cards being stolen.

The City Centre C Relief Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working hard to tackle this criminality; reviewing crime reports made by members of the public, intelligence received from the community, and piecing together evidence and CCTV provided by local businesses. As a result of this 2 males were identified and arrested in connection with these theft offences, one of whom has now been charged with handling stolen goods and fraud by false representation.

We understand the impact such offences have on residents’ sense of safety and trust. Tackling theft and protecting our community remains a priority, and we are grateful for the continued support and information provided by members of the public.
